Furlough life

Being home the extra for days a week has given me a lot to of time to explore locally. I’ve managed to get out into the local forest and discover some fantastic routes. Grizedale has always been a place I like to stretch my legs but recently I’ve tried to break off the normal routes and explore the other tracks as it’s so quiet! Discovering small tarns I didn’t know exited and also walk some of the bike trails. I need a bike. Riding would definitely make exploring some of the longer routes easier on short time exploration!  As I’m furloughed I’ve had a reduction in income so not really got the spare cash to splurge on a bike. Therefore I’ve been looking into passive income streams and investments to grow my passive income. Eventually I’d like not to work at all! Although this is probably some way off!!!  Will be using the blog to record progress and growth over the coming months. Stay safe and get outdoors!

Fresh Snow.

So today basically involved freezing. A frozen inch of ice on my car. A frozen set of boot laces. A frozen water... you get the idea.  With all said and done breaking ground over the Cumbrian hills was much needed despite the early start and and tenacious bit of the Icey wind. Today involved a slog through the local forest for roughly 4K followed by a slow trudge up an ice covered hill. Probably about time I invested in better winter gear. Easier said than done in the midst of a global pandemic. Realistically though I’m thankful for the fresh air. It’s cleared my heavy head of the the cold I’ve been carrying around, removed the mental strain of the monkey who’s been raking my brain over the dropshipping side hustle I am slowly pushing to start. Tea. Possibly the only splice for my battered winter hands and foggy mind. Focus. Perspective. Hunger. Today’s goals are set.

Reasons behind this Blog.

So we are 2 weeks into our 3rd period of national lockdown and with everything going on it’s time I finally did something productive and started this blog. Procrastination has been a running theme with this year, I personally have had more free time than ever and achieved less than ever before! Restrictions have dampened my plans to complete the Wainwright's and bag more Munro’s. Having a young child has meant fewer chances to increase the distances covered.  In general my fitness has slumped, motivation dissipated and mental health wavered. So.... over the coming months I’m going to change this and this blog will be my log over steps taken to recapture myself. Let the hard-work begin
